March 21, 2015 - ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- ANCHORAGE: US Cultural Ambassador and President of the Global Block, Prof. George Martinez, will moderate a 2 hour Mayoral Candidates Forum titled, “The Economic Forecast for Anchorage”, on March 24, 2015, at the Anchorage Senior Activity Center, 1300 E. 19thAvenue. The forum is sponsored by the NAACP Anchorage Branch.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a “Meet & Greet” opportunity for the public with the candidates. The forum will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. The attending audience will be encouraged to provide questions. The Forum will end with aStraw Poll taken of the candidates. Results will be released at the end of the night.
8 candidates have confirmed their participation including those labled by the local media as "front-runners". All of the candidates were invited to attend.
